3. Why are you interested in serving in this leadership position or what influenced you to run for this leadership position? (1500 characters or less)
My commitment to the vision, mission, and strategic goals has been strengthened by my opportunities for involvement and leadership within the association. Forward movement with the new initiatives and strategic goals can assist the division in determining both its strengths and opportunities within the scope of the association.
As a former region chair, region conference chair, and region steering committee member, I am in touch with the issues that occur within the region. Whether it is planning for professional development, creating a budget for a region or conference, providing timely information to the division, or preparing written reports, I continue to participate in my region, and appreciate the growth it has experienced.
I believe that I can still make a positive contribution as the elected Regional Division Representative. I will consult, listen and work in partnerships with the region chairs to continue the strength of leadership from the division. I want to assist and...

Platform Statement: Part IV
4. Please describe how you will work to promote the enhancement of inclusivity throughout (or within) the association. (1500 characters or less)
I have witnessed the enhancement of inclusivity throughout the association over the past 20 years. The region is a place where efforts can grow to embrace inclusivity. We can collaborate with the Emerging Leaders Program to identify potential emerging leaders and mentors, collaborate with the Inclusion and Engagement Committee to share information and opportunities and participate in opportunities for Commission and Interest Groups, the Council and the Board of Directors provide the Regional Division to collaborate in new initiatives and strategic goal implementation.
I identified in Part II an effort to bring funding to the region to have Professional Development, Emerging Leader and Diversity Initiatives. Our committee was promoting inclusivity in our states and region. I strongly believe that the association needs intentionality to be inclusive and promote the principle of equity and respect. Our members come from a vast array of intersections of identity. We need to live inclusivity...

I strive to be intentional in conversation to consider inclusivity and accessibility with professional development activities, networking opportunities, and member recruitment and service. This along with being aware that advising professionals come from a range of different intersections of identity, Inclusivity should be in each and every conversation we have regarding the association, its strategic goals and leadership.
