Platform
Platform Statement: Part I

1. If elected to this position, what will you attempt to accomplish that will help to meet the strategic goals of the Association?
To translate from the building based delivery of academic advising to distance learning in that the online students receive the same personalized attention as the campus based students.  Academic Advising models for distance education is very scarce and would be gratefully accepted by many.

Platform Statement: Part II

2. Describe an accomplishment on your own campus or within NACADA of which you are proud. What do you believe your accomplishment demonstrates about your abilities as a leader?
In 2003, I was instrumental in developing the Student Services Department for Bryant & Stratton College Online Education.  I had many years of experience on campus and successfully I have been able through many programs and technology to delivery the same personalized attention to the online dedicated student.  Surveys, completed by students, year after year indicate a very high satisfaction rate of our Academic Advisement and Registration process.

Platform Statement: Part III

3. Why are you interested in serving in this leadership position or what influenced you to run for this leadership position?
I feel that in the past 10 years I have experienced many successes with my Advisement Programs and I would like to share. I feel that there is a lack of written materials and research focusing on academic advising for distance education.  I would like to be part of creating materials for the membership.
