Platform Statement: Part I

1. If elected to this position, what will you attempt to accomplish that will help to meet the strategic goals of the Association?
If elected, I want to lead the Membership Committee through revitalization of its purpose and activities.  The committee should focus its attention on a two year time span for new members - the year before becoming a new member (recruitment) and the year after new membership (first year experience).  Our goal should be about having each individual member find a personal connection and engagement with NACADA and NACADA members including: 1) Connections / opportunities through technology based communication or information sharing,  2) NACADA Liasion Program,  3) Collaborating with other committees including the Diversity and Leadership Development for promoting a connection and engagement in the first year of membership, and 4)  Encouraging NACDA involvement at the regional or a local level.

Platform Statement: Part III

3. Why are you interested in serving in this leadership position or what influenced you to run for this leadership position?
