Abstract:
|
Hop in! Let's hit the road! We will travel the advising landscape and stop at major theories along the way. This roadtrip will introduce advisors to advising theory, philosophy, and practice suited to different advising situations. We will stop at "museums" to learn about the history of advising theory, hike through challenging trails to learn how to use advising theory to strengthen our ability to assist students. We'll visit a "rest stop" or two to learn about the importance of narrowing our focus and practicing self-care. This trip will broaden your horizons and allow you to return to your advising practice renewed, refreshed, and ready to be the best possible advisor for your students. |
