Abstract:

The landscape of health professions education in community colleges is evolving rapidly. As demand for healthcare workers increases, institutions face pressure to expand access and improve outcomes. One of the most promising strategies is the merging of non-credit and credit programs, which allows for more flexible pathways and reduces barriers to entry. However, this approach also presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities. This session will explore the complexities of combining non-credit and credit health professions programs, focusing on the academic, administrative, and institutional issues at play. It will also highlight strategies for overcoming these challenges and leveraging the benefits of such an integrated model to improve student success and meet workforce demands. |
