This session explores how understanding behavioral styles and interpersonal dynamics can strengthen communication, collaboration, and leadership within academic advising teams. Participants will learn how behavioral patterns influence teamwork, morale, and inclusion, and how to use this insight to navigate complexity and build stronger advising relationships. The session introduces practical communication and leadership strategies drawn from professional development workshops focused on teamwork and positive workplace culture. Attendees will explore approaches for managing challenging interactions, promoting psychological safety, and promoting equitable advising environments. Through reflective activities and real-'world application techniques, participants will develop an action plan for integrating behavioral awareness and inclusive leadership into their daily advising practice. This session provides advisors with tools to improve team effectiveness and contribute to high-'performing, inclusive advising cultures. |
