Abstract:

This session outlines the development of a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for a centralized academic advising office to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality advising practices that support student success, build shared departmental values, and improve operational effectiveness. This session will take attendees through the planning, information gathering, and implementation of an Academic Advising SOP at a mid-sized public university in the Mid-west. Session objectives will be met by lecture, discussion, and a pair & share activity. |
