Abstract:

Configuring Pathways of Solutions: Helping Exploratory Students Get Their Financial Aid
Course Program of Study (CPoS) requires that federal financial aid recipients enroll in courses that are applicable to their degrees; non-compliant courses, such as extra electives and courses toward an undeclared major, jeopardize students' aid eligibility. While students in declared majors have their requirements mapped out through graduation, exploratory students have shortened pathways that limit their course options. This presentation will describe how an exploratory advising office negotiated with their campus financial aid office and revised their pathways to assist students in receiving their aid and reduced additional workload brought on by CPoS. Exploratory and major advisors are invited to attend and share their CPoS experiences. |
