Advising supervisors often have little control over factors influencing team morale or turnover rates, such as student enrollment numbers, salaries, and even directives from above. But there are things within our control that can make an impact on team dynamics and employee satisfaction. In this presentation, you will hear practical examples of how an advising office has created a culture of connection, celebration, and purpose to improve morale and decrease turnover. You will learn how we revamped our staff meetings to make them more engaging, the unique ways we recognize the successes and strengths of team members, how we use committees to create opportunities for innovation and leadership development, and more! Through our examples and time to brainstorm your own, you will leave with practical ideas to improve your own team vibes! |
