Abstract:
|
Most higher education administrators receive little to no formal training in the art of administration. This session introduces the Appreciative Education framework as a powerful, practical guide for fostering inclusive, empowering, and innovative environments. Through storytelling and the lived experiences of current administrators, participants will explore the mindset shift from staff member to administrator, ways to navigate the "murky middle" of leadership, and how to build intentional, community-centered practices. This interactive session invites reflection and discussion and offers practical strategies for integrating Appreciative Education into daily administrative work. Attendees will leave equipped with tools to cultivate environments where staff feel valued and inspired to contribute meaningfully to organizational success. |
