Abstract:
|
Students frequently question the relevance of their coursework to future careers, particularly when requirements seem disconnected from their goals. This session equips advisors with practical strategies to help students recognize and articulate transferable skills developed through discussions, research projects, presentations, collaborative work, and applied learning activities. Presenters will introduce a framework advisors can use to guide students in identifying skill development and translating academic experiences into resume-ready and interview-appropriate language. Participants will leave with adaptable tools and advising techniques to help students confidently connect academic learning to career preparation and long-term professional growth. |
