Abstract:
|
This 60-minute session presents a holistic, student-centered advising model that integrates academic, personal, and professional development. The approach prioritizes meaningful, individualized relationships between advisors and students while promoting intentional collaboration across campus.
By aligning academic advising with career services, counseling, and academic support, institutions can provide coordinated, comprehensive guidance throughout the student experience. Participants will explore practical, scalable strategies for implementing this model at institutions of any size, leveraging data analytics and technology to deliver proactive outreach and monitor student engagement.
The session also highlights the value of faculty and staff partnerships in strengthening advising through timely referrals and shared responsibility for student success. Attendees will leave with actionable tools to adapt advising practices to evolving student needs and to foster academic achievement, personal growth, and persistence. |
