Abstract:
|
This poster presents early insights from a collaborative academic advising model in which multiple advisors support individual students through structured advising conversations. Rather than relying on a single advisor relationship, this approach allows advisors to contribute shared perspectives while centering the student's evolving needs and goals. Drawing on recorded advising conversations and post-session student feedback collected during the first six months of implementation, this poster identifies recurring student concerns, common advising strategies, and perceived benefits of collaborative advising. Findings suggest that a shared advising approach can enhance clarity, reflection, and continuity for students navigating flexible curricular options, consistent with advising-as-teaching and relationship-oriented advising perspectives. Attendees will engage in discussion about how collaborative academic advising models can be adapted to different institutional contexts. |
