Abstract:

This interactive session equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to create effective video resources for students. Participants will explore research-based benefits of video content, including enhanced engagement, improved retention, and faster information processing. The session also addresses critical considerations such as privacy, accessibility, and institutional policy when producing and sharing videos. Attendees will gain access to a simplified, step-by-step workflow for creating videos, including selecting editing tools for both Mac and PC and how to start with manageable projects.
Through examples of several foundational tools and guided discussion, participants will brainstorm ideas for a video resource. Interactive polls, breakout collaboration, and a structured Q&A will foster peer learning and increase confidence with technology. |
