Abstract:
|
Abstract: Advisors' time is in demand like never before. With the rise of AI and the rush for immediacy in today's media and education landscapes, students expect answers to important questions almost instantaneously. In the already overloaded daily schedule of an advisor, where is the time to meet this rising demand? In this session, advisors will be introduced to tools designed to free up space in their workflows so they can engage in meaningful, student-centered practice. Advising practitioners will worry less about remembering and focus more on 'relationing' through a process we call cognitive offloading. These tools and practices will help manage the cognitive load of both advisors and students leading to more productive, streamlined conversations that build trust and relationships. |
