Abstract:
|
This session will present a model of graduate advising practices within a college of education, in which professional staff advisors serve as the primary advisors for master's and graduate certificate students. In this model, advising staff collaborate closely with faculty, academic programs, and enrollment management to deliver holistic and coordinated support for students' academic and professional development. The session will also provide a guide to how our office supports students from the time of deposit through graduation, illustrating key practices, communication strategies, and partnerships that contribute to student persistence and success.
This session will cover academic planning and support, onboarding/orienting new students, and continuing student services and support provided to master's degree and certificate-seeking students. |
