Reconfiguring Academic Policy for Increased Student Engagement and Retention
When was the last time your institution's academic policy was revised? Student engagement and retention is a hot-button topic for many institutions as they stare at the cliff of population decline. But how many institutions are taking a look at their academic policies to see what can be done to keep students active and engaged? This presentation will outline the process one mid-sized urban institution went through to implement a major overhaul of its own academic policy. Major steps taken, potential pitfalls, and outcomes will all be discussed. The presentation will also outline key takeaways and potential next steps. |
