Abstract:
|
Grief is an often-overlooked aspect of change-making and transformation within higher education, both for advisors and students. By making space for grief, advisors can enhance their ability to support students and navigate change effectively. Participants will uncover strategies for integrating grief work into their professional lives in advising, leadership, and advocacy. This session will also examine the intersection of grief and transformation, emphasizing these as an important part of social justice work. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of grief's role in their professional academic advising journeys, and with practical tools for times of transition and challenge. |
