Abstract:
|
Alternative credit can be a key tool to help advisors ensure their students' progress, persist, and graduate. More students than ever are following non-traditional degree journeys, with many taking years or even decades away from school to focus on work and/or caregiving. When they return to earn their degree, data shows those who leverage alternative credit are more likely to succeed.
This panel brings together university advisors, administrators, and alternative credit providers to discuss how alternative credit can facilitate better student outcomes. We will present data showing: (1) who alternative credit benefits and (2) how students with alternative credit are more successful at their degree-granting institutions. Our discussion and interactive Q&A will also provide actionable advice for advisors to help students get the most out of alternative credit. |
