Abstract:
|
Advisors did not enter the profession to reconcile spreadsheets or verify appointments across multiple systems, yet operational busywork often consumes hours each week. What if the issue is not workload, but workflow? This session highlights how Academic Advising and Career Services redesigned everyday processes using Lean thinking, practical automation tools, and AI as a design guide-without new software or technical expertise. Through three real examples-appointment compliance tracking, New Student Registration dashboards, and a redesigned mock interview workflow-participants will see how small automations evolved into scalable systems that improved efficiency, strengthened data accuracy, and informed institutional decision-making. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for identifying workflow improvements, scaling incremental changes, and protecting time for what matters most: student connection, coaching, and success. |
