Abstract:
|
Academic warning is a powerful opportunity for student reflection, renewal, and advising support through a student-centered, equity-based approach. We have reframed academic warning as a developmental opportunity to foster connection, reflection, and empowerment. This session highlights best practices and outcomes from our Academic Warning program, which serves 600-700 students each semester. Participants will learn how our program integrates personalized outreach, required advising appointments, and reflective exercises to promote resilience and accountability. We will share data on our program, along with insights into advisor training and campus collaboration. Attendees will review adaptable materials and leave with practical strategies to transform academic warning into an equitable, student-centered success initiative. |
