Florida International University (FIU) is transforming academic advising through a strategic partnership as both an institutional adopter and an active design partner with its advising platform vendor. Guided by a structured implementation plan, FIU piloted key features-including scheduling, communication, and analytics-ensuring a smooth transition for staff and students. Student surveys from the pilot show a strong preference for the new platform over the previous system, citing usability and improved access to advising resources. Advisors also report increased efficiency and more meaningful interactions with students. This session highlights FIU's collaborative approach to innovation, change management, and student success. |
