Abstract:
|
Redevelopment need not be a scary word. Student-facing offices succeed from the momentum of past efforts, until they don't. As the pace of change accelerates, institutions must refresh student services operations for a new era we may not have asked for, but nonetheless find ourselves attempting to navigate after the world turned upside down. With change comes opportunity. It's time to be bold and assess if our efforts and structures hit the mark or need to be reimagined, and sharing experiences and best practices helps us more confidently meet the moment. Facilitated by an Academic Advising and Student Affairs Administrator with experience designing and reorganizing student services offices at multiple public 4-year institutions, attendees learn about common features and approaches to consider during an office redevelopment process through two case studies in drastically different settings. |
