Lead Presenter: Tingting Kang
Date: December 31, 1969    Time: 6:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Abstract: This presentation will highlight the importance and satisfaction ratings of 12 advising functions (Smith & Allen, 2007) at a small private liberal arts college in the post-COVID educational landscape. In addition to the descriptive statistics, presenters will discuss which student characteristics (such as gender, ethnicity, and class level) were significant predictors of students' responses and whether similarities or differences could be observed based on institutional types. The presenters provide implications and suggestions to enhance advisor training and education programs, refining materials to better align with the diverse needs of students in liberal arts college settings. Participants will be encouraged to discuss their own experiences in collecting data and putting theories into practice.
