Abstract: Title: Increase Productivity of Graduate Advising Appointments Using Flipped Advising

Many graduate students are extremely short on time so their advising appointments need to be as productive as possible. Using the flipped advising model, advisors can provide students with information in advance of their advising appointment to use their advising time to meet the students' individual needs. This presentation will focus on flipping advising using resources anyone can access even if they do not have access to their university's learning management system. This session will provide an opportunity to learn more about flipped advising and create a plan for implementing the model and getting administrative support. Come to this session to learn how to make advising easier and more productive for you and your graduate students!
