Abstract:

Let's Talk Professional Mentoring
Mentors are agents of change. They can have a profound impact on your professional development and your career trajectory. Professional mentoring is a great way to get connected while also providing for your professional development. Such mentoring relationships can be fostered on campus, in your region, and throughout NACADA. This session will discuss the challenges and merits of professional mentoring as well as opportunities for those interested in being mentored or being a mentor. A panel of mentors and mentees will detail their experiences creating and/or participating in departmental, institution-wide, and association sponsored mentoring programs. Mentors and mentees will provide their tips for establishing successful mentoring relationships. |
