Everybody Get Together: Promoting Holistic and Collaborative Retention Work for Undergrad Students
The College of Applied Science & Technology (CAST) at [INSTITUTION NAME] has been steadily growing, prompting our advising practices to transform as our student population becomes larger and even more diverse. As a new addition to the CAST advising unit, my role as their Retention Specialist was to aid in creating outreach practices and interventions that are data-driven and streamlined, while prioritizing holistic practices. Our reports processes, academic interventions, communication avenues, and retention committee invite the entire CAST community to support student success, no matter the role they hold. My presentation on collaborative retention work shares insights on how to marry the guidance of data and the humanness of holistic student support, to inspire relevant practice in your college or university. |
