Title: How Human Connections Drive Success in College
Based on a study of the book, Relationship Rich Education, we will explore the experiences and relationships students and advisors have that drive them to success. How often do we just accomplish daily tasks, roll students through our office as fast as possible, and leave the at the end of the day unfulfilled? How do students feel when they just go to class, do homework, and take tests? Is it possible that we can turn this into something better? We will discuss the importance of building meaningful relationships and turning them into positive experiences for both students and school employees and dissect how building a strong web of relationships can help improve attitudes, feeling of support, and retention for both students and advisors. |
