Abstract: Advising & Advocacy Adventures: This session will take advising adventurers on an exploration of challenges their students may experience as they navigate and choose their own educational adventures. We will invite advisors to take inventory and assess their abilities in how they encourage students to be active players in their education. We will also review trends and difficulties students experience in their journey to classes. As each semester provides new challenges and encounters for students, advisors too may modify their own proficiencies and adapt to these new shared experience points.
