Abstract:
|
What is the well-being of faculty undergraduate advisors in a college of agriculture?
Well-being has been a popular research topic since the COVID-19 pandemic, as the exposure of gaps in employer provisions for well-being became apparent. While advisors and faculty have been tested, the role of faculty advisors has lacked research on their well-being. This session will focus on thesis research done in a college of agriculture where the advising is a decentralized faculty-only model. Levels of well-being were tested for faculty, and then the role of faculty undergraduate advisor using an instrument developed by Drs. Ye He, Bryant Hutson, Jennifer Bloom, and Amanda Cuevas. Results investigate several factors that could impact the level of well-being and suggestions given by faculty undergraduate advisors for modification. |
