From Exploration to Excellence: Transforming Exploratory Advising for Student Success
Transitioning from exploration to declaration is a critical milestone for undergraduate students and specialized support is necessary during this pivotal period. At our institution, a large public Hispanic-serving university, exploratory advising underwent significant changes, transitioning from a central advising model to one integrated within a college framework. Insights will be shared into the strategies implemented post-transition and their impact on student success.
Led by experienced advisors and administrators, this presentation will highlight cross-campus collaborations, onboarding strategies, advisor training, and tailored student programming designed to facilitate a smoother transition for exploratory students. Participants will gain valuable insights into fostering academic success and empowering students to make informed decisions about their academic paths. Join us as we explore innovative approaches to enhance exploratory advising. |
