Kudos to you! Celebrating student success.
A little kudos goes a long way! Learn how our college advising unit started a kudos campaign to celebrate student success. After a review of our proactive communication plan, we noticed something missing - positive messaging. There were deadline reminders, early alerts, campus resource referrals, unsatisfactory midterms, probation, suspension, retention, and degree progression communications, but nothing celebrating a great semester or earning good standing.
To help students associate academic advisors with their achievements in addition to helpers guiding them through challenges, we added kudos messaging to our end of term communications. It has been a win, win! Advisors cultivate a culture of care by celebrating students' accomplishments. Students receive tangible acknowledgements of milestones and breakthroughs on their path to reach the goal of graduation. |
