Abstract:
|
How can academic advising leaders create efficient and effective advising systems? What tools can assist advising administrators in creating, strengthening, and assessing the support for advising? How can leadership communities be intentionally developed to ensure system support? What rhythms of connection can prioritize celebrating accomplishments and collaborating on the vision for the upcoming year? The purpose of this presentation is to describe the transformation of a decentralized advising system to a collaborative advising system. Together, we will explore strategies for developing leadership structures, creating collaborative communities, celebrating accomplishments through assessment, refining the vision, and anchoring actions in aspirations. Outcomes will be met through lecture, activities, discussion, and sharing tools. |
