Abstract: Design Thinking Our Way to Effective Communication with Milanote

Advisors are challenged with the task of communicating clearly with students who comprehend information in vastly different ways. People are often coined as either right-brained (creative) or left-brained (analytic) but it's more scientifically accurate to consider people as whole-brained. Through Design Thinking, we explore solutions to whole-brained communication strategies with Milanote. Milanote is a tool for organizing creative projects; using words and images to 'map' information. The user-friendly platform appeals to both sides of the brain at once, yielding positive results from both student and advisor.
