Towards a Typology of Peer Advisors
Peer Advising programs are a fixture of advising offices nationwide. However, a lack of discussion about what actually constitutes a Peer Advisor's role presents a barrier to understanding how much of the existing theoretical and practical literature is applicable to any given program. After a survey of some of the most robust Peer Advising programs nationwide, we can begin moving towards crafting a typology of Peer Advising along important axes, helping us better understand, plan, and execute our work. |
