Abstract: In the journey toward medical school, aspiring students often find themselves navigating a complex and daunting landscape. However, with the support of dedicated academic advisors, this path becomes illuminated with clarity and direction. 'Guiding Stars: Advisor Strategies for Illuminating the Path to Medical School' explores the crucial role of academic advisors in empowering students to achieve their dreams of entering medical school. This presentation delves into effective strategies and resources advisors can employ to assist in every stage of the application process, from course selection to crafting compelling personal statements and understanding the reality of earning an MD. By championing academic advisors as invaluable helpers, we aim to inspire confidence and resilience in aspiring medical professionals as they embark on their transformative journey toward becoming healers and leaders in medicine.
