Abstract:
|
The meteoric emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT in higher education offers potential benefits and applications related to the goals and roles of academic advising. On the other hand, there are areas of concern that must be addressed regarding unintended consequences of AI for students, staff, faculty, and administrators. In this 'point/counterpoint' panel discussion, we examine the pros and cons of AI in higher education viewed from the many lenses of academic advising. Audience engagement will be encouraged. |
