Abstract: TITLE: 'Effective Change Management: Helping Advisors Do What They Do Best'
Have you ever received news regarding an institutional restructure from your dean/provost you had to deliver to your team? Did you feel like you were stuck in the middle? Did you feel like you lacked the necessary details and context that your team needed to understand and plan for change?

We have been there. Attend this session to learn how administrators in one university's career center prepared internal staff and campus partners for their adoption of an academic advising role for first-year exploratory students. We will share the Managing Complex Change Model (Lippitt 1987), as well as our own experiences and lessons we have learned as we integrated a new advising function into our career center.
