This proposal introduces a transformative approach to student advisement known as CompetencyConnect Advising, designed to seamlessly integrate academic pursuits with industry needs. Drawing upon successful implementations within the Computer Science Department over a 3.5-year period, this proposal showcases the effectiveness of CompetencyConnect Advising in fostering holistic student development. Through CompetencyConnect Advising, students are empowered to navigate their academic coursework while simultaneously acquiring the professional competencies demanded by industry. This proposal provides insights into the integration of academic advising with career development, demonstrating tangible outcomes and success stories from its implementation. |
