Lead Presenter: Aqsa Mahmood
Date: December 31, 1969    Time: 6:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Room:
Abstract: The objective of our presentation is to humanize academic support experience (Liu & Ammigan, 2020) by showcasing the diverse stories and lives of those serving as advisors. Through personal narratives and life size body maps we aim to unveil the unique journeys, motivations, and passions that drive academic support professionals. We will shed light on who they are behind the title, what they did to become advisors, and what possible routes lie ahead. By intertwining personal narratives with visual representations, our presentation seeks to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of advisor's invaluable role in shaping the academic landscape. Through this exploration, we hope to inspire a renewed sense of connection and empathy among conference attendees, ultimately championing advisors as unsung heroes in the educational journey.
