Abstract:

Creating & Implementing a Meaningful Advising Assessment without a Budget
Do you ever wonder after the tenth advising appointment of the day if your advising conversations are having a positive impact on students? Assessing individual advising interactions can seem too time-consuming to implement but remains critical in understanding student advising experiences and potential impacts on student success. How can advisors and advising administrators customize data collection to best serve students and inform advising practices? A team of academic advisors created a customized advising assessment tool and implemented it into the daily operations of a busy advising office without purchasing additional software. Presenters will share technical resources, survey development, implementation strategies, and lessons learned from collecting student feedback after advising appointments. |
