The Seasons of An Academic Advisor
"It's A Beautiful Day..." as U2 sings the lyrics you realize that advising is like the seasons, there will be some beautiful days, but then there will be those days when it can be a blizzard. Advisors go through the seasons various times throughout their advising career, but understanding these seasons and how to manage them will help them be the best advisor that they can be for their students. This presentation will guide participants to reflect on which season they are in and relate them to the NACADA Academic Advising Core Competencies. |
