Abstract: An advisor network at an institution creates a space for the sharing of knowledge and best practices. This can be particularly important at institutions with decentralized models. Developing a culture of advisor engagement can be a challenge when advisors often balancing many responsibilities taking up there time. A successful advisor network must meet the needs of the different types of advisors and advising offices on campus. Our Academic Advisor Network aspires to impact student success by building and cultivating an interactive, engaged, and collaborative community of advisors, student service professionals and other campus stakeholders. Developing creative opportunities for advisor interaction has led to greater engagement across campus. Come learn how to bring energy and excitement back to your campus advising network.
