Abstract: Postsecondary education has embraced personality assessments as effective for developing emotional intelligence, but could we be utilizing these tests more strategically? Structured reflective opportunities allow students to envision how they might best utilize their dominant traits in order to maximize their lifelong career congruence (Holland, 1997). This session will explore the relationship between interpreting personality assessment results and planning for lifelong congruence; it will also engage attendees in guided reflection activities.
