Abstract: Advising students in majors that you aren't familiar with in your own educational background can be anxiety inducing not only for students, but for you (the advisor) too. This session will look at integrating career and academic advising, as well as, some techniques to assist those students who know they are "good at math and science" determine a successful path in college. This session will help new and continuing professional advisors build a toolkit to use in advising any major, but content will be specific to STEM majors. The session will include case studies, group discussion, and best practice sharing.
