Abstract: Fostering A Growth Mindset for Student Success

What is the difference between a fixed and growth mindset? What implications are there for student success? How does a growth or fixed mindset impact students' beliefs about themselves and achievement? This interactive presentation will explore the difference between the fixed and the growth mindset and the impact that mindsets can have on performance and learning. Participants will learn and offer up their own activities for coaching students to move from the fixed to the growth mindset.
