Abstract:

HOT TOPIC: OG's and Gen Zs: Leading teams with multi-generational experiences
HOT TOPIC: In today's rapidly evolving workplace, it is common to find teams made up of individuals from different generations, each with unique perspectives, values, and communication styles. From Baby Boomers to Generation Z, each cohort brings its own set of experiences and expectations, which can either enrich collaboration or lead to conflicts if not managed effectively. It has become increasingly important that Academic Advising Administrators have the ability to effectively manage and collaborate with multigenerational teams. During this Hot Topic session, we will explore the nuances of working with advisors who are considered Generation Z. This includes understanding differences, addressing barriers or challenges, and ways to foster a culture of belonging and collaboration. |
