Title: Using Flipped Advising to Assess Polymathic Thinking and Integrated Learning
Lead Presenter: Rachel Parkes
Date: On-Demand
Room: On Demand
Abstract: The School of Computing and Information (SCI) at our institution has launched a new advising center grounded in Marc Lowenstein's Theory of Integrative Learning in support of SCI's mission of polymathic education. In this session we explain how we put this theory into practice by developing and assessing student learning outcomes using a flipped advising approach. Participants will have an opportunity to practice writing and assessing student learning outcomes for academic advising.
