Title: No Transfer Student Is an Island: The Story of Engineering a Cybersecurity Transfer Bridge
Lead Presenter: Daniela Cigularova
Date: On-Demand
Room: On Demand
Abstract: Increasing enrollment pressures and changing student populations call for collaborations among 2-year and 4-year institutions to develop and implement innovative transfer pathways that connect students across institutional divides. Aligning cybersecurity education with changes in the transfer landscape is much needed. Join us for an overview of the process of developing transfer pathways and strategies to build bridges in cybersecurity education on your campuses. This session will demonstrate strategic initiatives involving faculty advisors and peer mentors that facilitate the success of transfer students at a medium-sized urban public senior institution with strong partnerships with a Community College System. You will learn about findings from a case study of cybersecurity transfer pathway agreements and extensive review of the literature on articulation agreements.
