Abstract: The goal of this session is to provide insights, lessons learned, and best practices on advising students with global interests and/or majors. In the global resource systems (GRS) major at our university, students learn about the way in which the world uses its limited resources to create sustainable systems. The GRS major is a college-wide, interdisciplinary major that offers a framework to globalize interdisciplinary curricula and provide high-impact educational activities with an international focus. The breadth and diversity of this curriculum necessitates innovative partnerships and approaches to successfully advising GRS students.

Join us as we share about the role of advising in an interdisciplinary, globalized curriculum with high-impact educational activities. This session will provide key strategies for advising success in interdisciplinary and/or global curricula.
